Using Zoom
Updated
Zoom is a cloud based service which offers meetings which provides online meetings, content sharing and video conferencing ability.  Zoom is the video conferencing/meeting tool used at UniSQ.
It is easy to use and all students are automatically given a UniSQ zoom account, which uses your UConnect username and password when signing in.

Zoom have continued to implement security updates which will require you to ensure you are running the latest version of Zoom.  Instructions for updating your version of Zoom is available from the Zoom website.

At UniSQ, there are 2 specific uses for Zoom
  1. As a meeting tool - allows students an/or lecturers to meet electronically (in real time) to participate in meetings or lectures from the comfort of your home.  Students can ask questions and fully participate in the course experience

  2. As a webinar tool - allows for larger numbers of students or participants to attend from anywhere in the world to attend a lecture or presentation in real time.
Zoom meetings can also be recorded - so if you can't make it to the meeting - you can view it online at your convenience.

Attending a meeting/webinar

If you are attending a course meeting/lecture then the meeting ID etc will be included in you StudyDesk course, and it's a simple matter of clicking on the link to the meeting information, which will normally be located within a week topic section.  When you click on this link it will display the meeting link.
