What if I am unable to sit for a Deferred exam in the Deferred and Supplementary Formal Assessment Period?

It is a stipulation in section 4.5 of the Assessment Procedure that deferred assessment cannot be further deferred. 'Deferred Assessment is not available to a Student for an Assessment Item that has already been granted a Deferred Assessment.' As such, students are unable to apply for further deferment of any already deferred examination.
Where students have special circumstances and are not able to sit for their deferred examination in accordance with their Deferred and Supplementary Exam Schedule, they are able to submit an application to request a waive of academic penalty and/or fee reversal.

The withdrawal without academic and financial penalty assessment is a rigorous test of special circumstances and submission of a request does not guarantee approval.
