What documents should I attach to my scholarship application to show financial hardship?
Updated
We understand that everyone's circumstances are different so there is no one answer to this question.
The online application form is responsive and will tell you what to upload depending on your answers.
Common documents include:
- Centrelink Income Statement which must feature Future Regular Payments
- Australian Tax Office Notice of Assessment (ATO NOA)
- Payslips – most recent, featuring Year to Date (YTD) figures
If you feel that your circumstances are not fully reflected in the information you requested, you are welcome to include a written statement accompanied with supporting documentation.
If you are not sure whether to apply, check out the household income thresholds link on each scholarship’s page as a guide. If your household income is a small amount over the limit, apply anyway.
If required, the Scholarships Office may request further documentation for some scholarships during the assessment process.
With the exception of Statutory Declarations, supporting documentation does not need to be certified.
For additional information, please contact the Scholarships office.
