What is the difference between Diplomas and TPP?

Tertiary Preparation Pathway (TPP):

  • Upon successful completion of the Tertiary Preparation Pathway, students are eligible to apply direct to UniSQ.
  • TPP students are not usually eligible for credit  based on TPP courses studied.
  • The TPP is free for Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents and New Zealand citizens who meet the eligibility requirements for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP).

Diploma of University Studies (DOUS):

  • Consist of 8 courses (subjects)
  • Is studied in a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP). Eligible students may be able to defer their tuition fees into a HECS-HELP loan.
  • Upon completion of the first four (4) courses in the Diploma, students may be eligible to exit with a Certificate of University Studies (COUS) and then apply direct to a UniSQ undergraduate program or they can complete a further four (4) courses (subjects) which may be relevant to the program they wish to study and graduate with the Diploma.
  • Graduates of the Diploma program can apply direct to a UniSQ degree program and may be eligible to apply for up to 8 courses of credit towards their degree.
