UDrive is used to store all file types, including documents, presentations, music, photos and videos. In your UDrive space, you can upload files into the My Drive area or into My Drive folders, if you have created them.
UDrive – Sharing Files
- On your computer, go to https://uconnect.usq.edu.au/
- Enter your credentials and log in.
- Click on the UDrive icon, from the top right corner (if you hover your mouse over it, it will say google-drive and appears to the left of the mail icon)
- Right click anywhere in the white space on this new screen, which will bring up the following menu. Click New folder to create a new folder.
5. Give the folder a meaningful name
- Double click the newly created folder to open it.
- Drag and drop the files you wish to share. Alternatively, click on the New button to upload the required file.
8. At the bottom right hand corner of the screen, you can see the progress of the uploaded file.
- Repeat step 7, until all the required files are uploaded in this location.
- Next to the folder name, click on the downward arrow
and click Share
- Click the Advanced button
- Now click Change button.
13. On the following Link Sharing screen, please select “On – Anyone with the link” option. It is recommended to keep the Access to Can view only, to prevent the files from accidental edit or deletion. Click Save to finalise the current configuration.
Note: Sharing the link using unspecified options, could result in your file being inaccessible.
14. Now select and copy the URL and paste it in an email or a document to share. Click Done to close the window.
