How do I share files from UDrive?

In UDrive you have the ability to share files or folders with other people.  You can send a file or folder to a person or persons, and allocate a specific level of access.  They can have the ability to view, edit or comment on the file.

  To share

  1. Log into UDrive
  2. Navigate to your file or folder that you want to share and select it
  3. Click the Person icon at the top of the page to open the sharing options
  4. The Share with others window will open
  5. The Share link is displaying
  6. Click on the Link sharing drop down menu
  7. Click on More
  8. The Sharing options display

    NOTE: If you want to share the file/folder with your lecturer, select On – Anyone with the link
     
  9. To change the type of access, click on the drop down menu
  10. Make your selection
  11. Click Save
  12. You can now copy and paste the link into an email to share it
  13. If you want to share with specific person, enter their email address
  14. To change the access for this person, click on the drop down menu
  15. Make your selection
  16. Click on Send

To access Share settings

1.     Log into UDrive
2.     Navigate to your file or folder that you want to share and select it
3.     Click the Person icon at the top of the page to open the sharing options
4.     Click on Advanced
5.     The Share settings window will open

NOTE:  These options will allow you to change access to your document
NOTE:  You can also prevent someone you've shared a file with from changing or sharing your file

6.     Once you have made your changes, click Done
