Do HDR students submit a thesis for examination?
Updated

As a student of a higher degree by research (HDR) program you are required to submit a thesis for examination.  A thesis for examination may be a Standard Thesis, Thesis by Publication, or a Thesis with Creative Works component.  Normally the thesis will be examined using an electronic copy although an examiner may request a hard copy. You should familiarise yourself with the Guidelines for the Preparation of a Research Thesis in consultation of your supervisors. These guidelines provide information on preparation of a thesis for examination prior to submission. Detailed information can be found online about the examination process.

On average, the examination process takes between 4-6 months, but examination times may be extended due to reasons which are outside the control of the University. There is no requirement for international students to remain on-campus during the examination or revision period.

Please refer online for further details.

Students should contact the Graduate Research School should they require assistance.
