How do I submit my assignment in StudyDesk?

To submit an assignment electronically, follow the instructions below, or for a comprehensive and printable version of these instructions (including images) please click here.

Depending on how your lecturer has set up this course, you can find the assignment submission area in either of 2 places.

It may be located in a topic section of the Course activity page, or as a link in the Assessment tab (if it has been activated).

You lecturer will advise where the link is located.

Using drag and drop

  1. Click on the relevant assignment link
  2. Read the assignment information
  3. Click the Add submission button
  4. To upload your assignment, you can either:
     
    1. Upload a file or
    2. Drag and drop your file to the drag and drop area
       
  5.  Click the Save changes button

Note:  Your ability to edit or remove your submission is dependant on the way the lecturer has set up the assignment submission

  1. Click Edit submission if you need to make a change
  2. Click remove submission if you want to remove the assignment
  3. When you are happy with the file, click the Submit assignment button

Note:  You may be required to accept a Disclaimer agreement confirming the submission is your own work

  1. Tick the checkbox
  2. Click Continue

Your assignment is now submitted.

Note:  When you have submitted your assignment, you will receive a confirmation email to your UMail account.  This will provide a unique identifier which you may quote to verify submission. 

Note:  You can also check your submissions by clicking on the assignment submission link.  It will display ‘Submission status – submitted for grading’.

Note: The examiner of the course can control the file types accepted. If you have any issues with file type, please see your examiner for further information.

Note:  Some lecturers may use a "text matching" program called Turnitin when submitting assignments.  This will be explained to you by your lecturer before you need to submit.
