What happens if I want to change programs halfway through a study period?
Updated
If you decide you wish to change your program throughout the study period, we recommend iconnect in the first instance.
Things you need to do when making this decision:
- contact the Enrolments team to determine whether your enrolled courses will credit to your new program
- consider booking an appointment with the Career Development team.
If you are considering dropping your enrolment you will need to understand the implications of doing so part-way through the study period:
- If it is after census date but prior to the last date to drop a course without a failing grade, you will incur a financial penalty.
- If it is after census date and after the last date to drop without a failing grade, you will incur a financial penalty and an FLW (Fail - Late Withdrawal) grade will be applied. This will have implications for your GPA, program completion rate and may also impact your Academic Standing according to the Student Academic Progression Procedure. Academic Standing transfers between programs.
