What is the LANTITE requirement for UniSQ Initial Teacher Education (ITE) students who are applying to the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) for registration?

UniSQ’s ITE programs are accredited by the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT), which registers ITE graduands on advice from UniSQ. UniSQ strongly supports the intent of the LANTITE as a way graduates can provide evidence of their proficiency in literacy and numeracy. In April 2019, QCT wrote to UniSQ reiterating the requirement that all students must successfully complete the LANTITE as a graduation requirement regardless of when they began their program. 

From 2019, all UniSQ students completing their ITE program, regardless of commencement date in the program, will be required to successfully complete the LANTITE prior to graduation.
