What is a Deferred Examination?
Updated
A Deferred Examination may be granted to students who cannot complete a scheduled Formal Examination due to Special Circumstances such as Medical, Employment, Family/Personal and other reasons out of their control.

If you are unable to complete your exam at the scheduled dates and times, you may apply to defer your exam by completing an online deferred examination application form, and attaching your supporting documentation.

Under normal circumstances, deferred examinations are held in the next Deferred and Supplementary Formal Examination Period. Deferred and Supplementary Formal Examination Periods are listed in the Academic Calendar and Important Dates.

If you have been granted a deferred exam you will receive an email through your student UMail account once the Deferred and Supplementary Formal Exam Schedule is released to students, one week prior to the commencement of the Deferred and Supplementary Formal Examination Period.
